The Big Apple

The Big Apple Restaurant, located at Waitomo Orchards on state highway 3, 1km north of the Waitomo Caves turnoff, is a 400 seat restaurant, cafe and tourist facility. Most of the food is sourced from the Big Apple's own orchards.

The Long Black Café

Black-water Cafe is situated on the Waitomo Caves Road, just 1km before the caves. The cafe is open 7 days from 8am until late. Last evening meal orders at 9.30pm.

Main meals $14-$17. Licensed. Fantastic location.

Roseland's Restaurant

The restaurant provides lunch in an attractive garden setting 3.5km from Waitomo Caves along Fullerton Road. The BBQ lunch with dessert and coffee is $20 per person, fantastic location off the beaten track.

Waitomo Caves Hotel

The Fred Mace licensed restaurant offers elegant dining. Breakfast (including the mammoth Caver's Breakfast), lunch and morning and afternoon teas are also available. The restaurant is named after the first English explorer of the Glowworm Cave. Quality Varies.

Waitomo Tavern

The tavern is a popular spot in the evenings for locals and those relaxing after a hard day's adventure. There is a live band on Saturdays and some other nights.

Bar meals are available.
